Créé en 2013 par l’association spinalienne Les Pygmalions, la Rencontre Bodypainting France a pour but de faire découvrir au grand public l’art de la peinture sur corps ou body painting.
Created in 2013 by the “Les Pygmalions” association, “La Rencontre Bodypainting France” (= French Bodypainting Meeting) aims to introduce the general public to the art of body painting.
Des artistes, professionnels ou amateurs passionnés, venus de toute la France et d’ailleurs (Belgique, Suisse, Italie et même Colombie) viennent chaque année le temps d’un week-end à l’Espace Cours à Epinal afin d’offrir une démonstration en live de leur art.
Artists, professionals or passionate amateurs, from all over France and elsewhere (Belgium, Italy and even Colombia) come every year for a weekend at the “Espace Cours” in the city of “Epinal” to offer a live demonstration of their art.
Prenant place au sein du festival des mondes imaginaires « Les Imaginales », la Rencontre Bodypainting France propose aux visiteurs toujours plus nombreux d’assister gratuitement à la réalisation des peintures. C’est l’occasion pour les curieux d’être témoins de ce spectacle insolite et de pouvoir discuter avec les artistes et les modèles de cet art éphémère et méconnu.
Organized as part of the festival of imaginary worlds “Les Imaginales”, “La Rencontre Bodypainting France” offers an ever-increasing number of visitors the opportunity to witness – free of charge – the creation of body paintings. This is an opportunity for the curious to attend this unusual show and to be able to discuss with the artists and models of this ephemeral and little-known art.
Une quarantaine d’artistes donnent ainsi vie à tout autant de créatures colorées et fantastiques autour d’un thème qui change chaque année et se décline même en deux sous-thèmes distincts durant le week-end, offrant donc un spectacle différent le samedi et le dimanche.
Around fourty artists bring to life as many colorful and fantastic creatures around a theme which changes each year and is even available in two distinct sub-themes at the weekend, thus offering a different show on Saturday and Sunday.
Les modèles, devenus créatures surnaturelles une fois peints, coiffés et accessoirisés, déambulent dans le parc et posent avec les visiteurs qui en font la demande avant de se regrouper pour un défilé dans l’un des « magic mirror », sorte de yourte fantastique que le festival met à disposition pour les animations.
The models, who become supernatural creatures once painted, styled and accessorized, stroll through the park and pose with visitors who request them before gathering for a parade in one of the “magic mirrors”, a sort of fantastical yurt for festival activities.
De plus, la Rencontre Bodypainting France offre aux visiteurs des animations exclusives comme des maquillages pour les enfants, une boutique de matériel de bodypainting professionnel ouverte à tous, ainsi que la performance live unique d’une star internationale du bodypainting.
In addition, “La Rencontre Bodypainting France” offers visitors exclusive activities such as children's makeup, a professional bodypainting equipment store open to all, as well as a unique live performance from an international bodypainting star.
